Mochachino

i was going nuts in school today. not only are thursdays a drag, but also, i couldn't stand my nails any longer! i was so relieved to clip my nails nice and short when i got home. it's amazing what a difference just a few millimeters can make. the bonus was that i cut off the parts of my polish that had chipped since this morning.

i love the color of this Sally Hansen Insta-Dri nail polish:. I'm very into dark and earthy-colored polishes. in addition, it was on sale and i already knew i loved this particular line of polishes because i had used soph's bright purple one at college a few times.

the shape of the brush totally makes or breaks the polish in my opinion. i remember as a kid struggling with these thin round brushes with stiff bristles that didn't hold much polish or distribute it evenly, so it would take like a dozen strokes to cover each nail. The Insta-Dri polishes have a wide flat brushes that coat the nail using the often-recommended three strokes.

even though it had already chipped since this morning, i think it was because i only had time for one coat. and yes, i could put a top coat on, but that's the reason i buy quick-dry polish in the first place - i'm just so darn impatient! (my college roommates can attest to the fact that i hate to wait. i would sometimes use "patiently yours" as my closing for letters/emails to them as a joke).

speaking of patience, i'm already starting to cave on the guitar thing. i've been searching craigslist with an increased fervor because i don't actually think i can wait another 11 weeks and 5 days to play guitar.
