same game, different arena

because my senses were constantly bombarded with NHL minutia (thanks to my roommates jess and soph), i was eventually converted to hockey fandom around the time of the 2008 playoffs. i'm certainly not a PHanatic (insert canned laughter here), but i do enjoy going to/watching games now and again, especially when it involves my fav teams, the Flyers and the Sharks (i would include the Red Wings in that list, but in reality, i just love their logo).

so, i'm a little sad to be moving so far away from Philly, where it was fairly easy to catch a few Flyers games at the Wachovia Center and the Phantoms at the Spectrum. but, conveniently, i will soon be relatively close to San Jose, CA, where the Sharks' home base is, so perhaps my hockey lovin' will not come to an untimely death. i hope to catch at least one Sharks game in the coming season.

however, it will be significantly more difficult to keep up with all of the goings-on in the hockey world when it is not being filtered and spoon-fed to me by my roommates...incidently, check out jess and soph's witty hockey blog,
Above you can see a photo of Flyers hotty Joffery Lupul getting down on one knee to propose to me during warm-ups...or did i just dream that?...well, no matter, because even if he had, i wouldn't even get to sell goody bags at next year's carnival with the other Flyers' wives because Lupul was traded to the Anaheim Ducks! it was certainly a tough pill to swallow until jess reminded me that the Ducks are in California, so i could visit him more easily than if he were still a Flyer. cya Philly, i'm off to California and i'm taking Lupul with me!

  1. Look at that Photoshop magic! (Which makes me think of our hit song, "In the Mac Laaaaaab"... *tear*)

Yes, what will you do without hearing about hockey 24/7 from Soph and me?! At least Soph will be close by to keep you in the loop...

  2. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to drag you to a game or at the very least a practice. Don't think your escaping hockey that easily!

  3. Yes, I'd hate to think that my hockey-lovin would come to a screeching halt. I'll have to keep up with the latest by checking your blog...And now that I've seen the HP Pavilion from the train, I'll not be able to resist the lure of the Sharks! (not only are THEY real, but i guess the arena is, too! it's all too much to take in!)
