Workin hard or hardly workin? It's hard to tell. This week has been a blur. It feels like I've spent a lot of my time at school, but I can't say I feel like I've been very productive. Nevertheless, I think by the time the end of the week rolled around, all the design students were pretty drained.
This is why it was such a relief to spend Friday evening relaxing. There was a Grad student barbeque where we mostly huddled in a little group of our own, but also chatted with a few really nice 2nd year students who were able to give us some advice about our courses.
After the barbeque a bunch of the first years went to a party at our classmates Kate's adorable apartment. I forgot my camera in the studio, so I wasn't able to capture the festivities including the fire-juggling performance that happened in her backyard toward the end of the party, but I swiped these pics from my friend Alice's facebook page:
In addition to having a sweet place (I don't even want to know what she pays for rent!) there is a really awesome table which Kate refinished, creating a interactive table/design surface. Check it out!
